WHYR 96.9 is excited to present an in-town summertime local arts & music cultural festival, taking place Friday, July 27th, at North Gate Tavern. Doors open at 8pm, music starts at 9pm, and original music by the Stage Coach Bandits being performed for the first time starts at 10pm.

Yoga Bliss and WHYR 96.9 FM present a screening of the award-winning documentary

The Highest Pass

at the Manship Theatre on Wednesday, August 15th, at 7 PM. Part heart‐pounding adventure and part spiritual quest, this film documents the journey of seven seekers who follow a guru with a Vedic death prophecy on a motorcycle trip up to the highest pass of the Indian Himalayas.

The guru featured in the film, Anand Mehrotra, is traveling to Baton Rouge to introduce the film and participate in a Q&A session following the screening.
